The Town of Winthrop will open a warming center at the AT Cummings School, 40 Hermon Street, starting today at 5 pm. Anyone who needs to warm up, charge a cell phone, or charge a medical device can stop by. We will have light refreshments available and staff on scene to answer questions about additional resources that are available during the snowstorm.
If the need arises and we have prolonged power outages, the warming center can convert to a temporary shelter.
